Grab Oralee and RUN FOR IT

14th Apr 2011, 11:03 PM

Haha Oralee is so adorable in the last frame. But when is she not?

14th Apr 2011, 11:03 PM

"But I'm not like... other boys..."

14th Apr 2011, 11:34 PM

Oralee! Tables are not meant for sitting! Didn't your parents ever teach you--

Oh wait.

...

Sorry. :[

One of my most quickest and most satisfying archive binges to date.
I can't wait to see what happens and the art is great! There's also a really minimalistic approach to the pages that make it so I'm not reading walls of text which is awesome.
+1 Subscription :)
Also, congrats on becoming an administrator!

Locke looks like he's sitting on the same table :D

This is practically the only comic on the Internet that appreciates the slow build-up and decompressed pacing. Would that more comics did...

Awww o3o

15th Apr 2011, 7:01 AM

I hope you didn't make Oralee cuter because of our comments??

15th Apr 2011, 8:41 AM

it still looks excellent on my phone! what I really like about it is that you have such a set design and really know what you're doing. I also like the slow build up because some comics just take off so fast and get to a main point within only a few pages. I love that you take your time, and I'm not alone with that kind of script. Speaking of script, I was curious what you do for planning?

Buck up boy--you act like you're at the Doctor's. ;)

Just found out Kristy is a mod...why does she
make me so jealous!!! Guess I'll have to be nice here...so, this is fantastic stuff Kristy!

I really enjoy how you drew the hair on Dr. Ilara.
I almost missed the monday update thinking that you were just going to do once a week. It was a pleasant surprise and helps ease my constant curiosity.
Excellent work, keep it up.

@MatthewJA: That's what I tell him to do, but he doesn't listen to me. D; Not because she's evil or anything, but I want him to go plaaacesssss.

@Bandkanon: A death grip by a cat is adorable. Locke approves. :3

@Shaggers: True enough! D:< Darn kids.

@5th: Hahaha~

@JessieJess: They're supposed to be stools. :< Are they not stool-like enough? Maybe I should go make them more obvious or turn them into chairs or something.

@DerrickMichael5: Aaaah, thank you so much! I hate reading text walls myself, so 've been trying to avoid them. That usually means I have to extend the conversation over a few pages, but I like it better that way.

And thanks! :D

@Magravan: STOOLS. THEY'RE STOOLS.

*Thud*

@Zomburai: See, now I was thinking that it was going too slow. It really picks up after this little section, though... I hope.

@Ice: Poor guy can't muster enough backbone to overcome a little girl. >3>

@MasterofWeirdness: Oh, no, Oralee has always been cute. If she's any cuter than before, it wasn't intentional!

@Therebeunicorns: Ah! I'm glad to hear that it looks all right on a phone! I've been curious about that lately. I don't have any mobile internet myself, so I never really knew.

I really do want to focus on character building and relationships before diving into the deep end of the story. I'm still trying to experiment on a balance between slow and fast paces. Don't want my audience falling asleep on me. D:

For scripts, I have the entire plot roughly outlined in my head, and then I fine-tune the chapters one by one. I keep it real basic at first. It's basically just who-says-what and an expression noted if it's important for what they're saying (or if they reply without words). Then I take it to thumbnails (2-4 at a time), and blah blah draw draw.

@Midnight: I know, right! It's not so bad~

@Moizmad: Haha! Thanks, Mo. :D No reason to be jealous; being a mod just means more responsibility.

@D_Man: Thanks! Yeah, the update schedule was kind of fickle for a couple weeks there, but now it's settled. I like it this way very much.

Something tells me that she's going to get more than she bargined for.
