The AngryLocke eyes are terrifying.

21st Apr 2011, 11:16 PM

Super tite first panel, ...maybe even a super tite T-shirt graphic, hmmmm...

21st Apr 2011, 11:33 PM

I have to agree with the 5th :D

:O those eyes are freaking awesome. Woah. This page is definitely my favorite so far. I think.

22nd Apr 2011, 12:04 AM

This...is gorgeous. :D

22nd Apr 2011, 12:37 AM

The5 is right. That first panel really would look great on a T-Shirt. That's way past simple webcomic and into art!

What was Locke doing with that woman, she doesn't look like his type, and she gives him
a strange locket that's turning his arm black and he keeps it?

22nd Apr 2011, 7:11 PM

So full of win. ^____^

@MatthewJA & Bandkanon: ... o_o Wut.

@Kalegiro: Hmmm~!

@Jrade: I'm glad you think so! >:3

@5th: Huh! That.. wouldn't be a bad idea. I can get rid of the white/black background and...hmm..! Definitely worth thinking about.

@Shaggers: Really? o.o Thanks~!

@Fear the Pink: Thank you so much! :D

@Lukkai: Thank you! I may consider putting it on a tee. If not, then maybe something similar...

@Zomburai: ... W-wait! Come back, you dropped your pennnnn~!

@Moizmad: Those...are all very good questions. :O And you're right, she doesn't look like his type.

@Nekoha: And so are you! :3

Why does he wear it if it's the cause? Huh. That's really intriguing. Again, another great page. You probably are not fond of questions like this but....what program do you use? What tablet settings do you use to ink digitally and is this more cell shading or a different kind of coloring? I am most interested in the inking because no matter what I try I cannot ink with my tablet! Not only is it difficult for me to even try and ink, my lines are not nice and pretty, just a boring type. I've tried tutorials for photoshop and sai, my programs, but my lines are still a failure no matter what settings and driver I install.

I like that first panel more than I can describe right now. It's very beautiful, the shading and the color choices.

And it's all right for missing the update, I totally understand. Temperamental tablets are tough to work with.

25th Apr 2011, 9:31 AM

....With this... Do you want to hold it?

25th Apr 2011, 11:30 AM

@Therebeunicorns: Thanks for the comment! I'll try to answer as clear as I can, but I'm hoping to make a tutorial with better explanations as soon as I have time. o_o
- I use Adobe Photoshop CS3 from sketch to finish.
- I have a Wacom Intuos 3 with the pressure settings slightly more sensitive so that I don't have to press down so hard and ruin my wrist.
- Ah, I guess I would consider this cell shading. The only real difference is that I use gradients a lot, but it's essentially the same thing.
- I've found that the key to making nice smooth lines is to make the size of the image 3-4 times larger than you want it to be, then shrink it down when you're done. Any slight shaking disappears and the lines look nice and smooth. Also, it helps to ink it in sections, sweeping each line individually, decreasing in sensitivity near the end of each line. It makes nice variety. :D
- My original dimensions are 2550×3300 (300DPI), and I use the default 5pt pressure-sensitive brush for all my lines. Sometimes I'll use 3pt for the straight background lines and details. When I'm done, I'll shrink the image to 850×1100 (100DPI) for the web. :o

I hope that helps!

@Purplefire: Thank you so much! Yeah, I absolutely hate missing update days, but there was seriously nothing I could do. :( I'm getting a new tablet very soon, so Friday's update should still be right on track!

@D_Man: Haha, Locke just wants to share the love! D:

Hmmm...try fixing that. Disease via a pendant. Yep....got nothing.
(5 is good, but I don't see score for excellant.)
