Many, many thanks to AngryRob, Scimok, and (especially) Zomburai for giving me advice/feedback on this page beforehand! o_o You are all so helpful and kind and amazing and wise and aaaahhhh
You're getting better at action, but I think there's still that element of stiffness in some of the poses o_o
Locke especially in the third panel looks like his punch is extremely weak and tired, and I don't think that was what you were going for.
Uhh, let's see...when you punch, you generally step forward with the leg on the side you're punching with. I think his body needs to twist more, and his left arm should probably be held out more.
I think anyway. I'm not great at action-y poses myself :D
@ Frosty: Err...well...actually when you punch you should step forward with the foot on the opposite side you are punching with. The foot on the same side should be firmly planted because it is putting a lot of power in the punch. Unless you're just going with a quick jab o-o
Edit: Really it depends on what kind of punch you are going for.
@Lobotomistman: YEAH, YOU, WITH THE CLOAK THING, KILL THAT OTHER GUY WITH THE CLOAK THING. DO IT.
I don't really want them to get messed up either. The next page will consist of me breaking the fourth wall and putting them in time out. >:I
@Robotwin.com: Haha. :D
@MatthewJA:
@Becker: It's the amulet that's been making appearances throughout the chapters. :O
@Shaggers: Thanks! HE'S TRYING. Kind of. I don't think he's trying very hard. >:O
@D_Man: Aaaahnoooo, stop fightiiiing. D: GET ALONGGG
@Ryan: I've never seen that movie all the way through... So many things I need to watch!
@Peter: More like... Whiff, bam, woosh~!
@Zomburai: Mm, still not as good as I wanted it to be... But it'll have to do. D:
I...don't think Oralee...has a Panic Button. D: She's painfully aloof about the strangest things sometimes.
@Loungegecko: ... Yes. Yes it is.
*Locke gets punched in the face again*
:I
@Magravan: Your unified optimism with Oralee makes me smile. :D
@Frosty: Very good points~! Stiffness is definitely something that I need to work on, both in action scenes and everywhere else, too.
The original sketch was worse than it is now. :I Thankfully Zomburai pointed out the errors before I got too far.
I also don't think that the straight-on angle lends itself to any sort of dynamical sense of energy or speed. It's rather plain. :I Just gotta keep learning and moving toward the next page!
@AngryRob: Yes... Yes it was. And it was great advice, because then I knew exactly what not to do. >_>
Also you gave me other tips about speedlines and panels and emphasis and angles!
@Mikey: Mission accomplished! :O!
@Shaggers & Frosty: The reference I had put the leg opposite the punch. I take no blame for thiiis... D:
Just a note about blocking punches. Madoc needs to hit the inside of Locke's arm when he's blocking, not the outside. Even better if Madoc actually struck Locke's arm away with the block.
@Agent0Gecko: It's actually a lot easier to redirect a punch then it is to just physically stop it. Most martial arts will show you how to block a punch and its from hitting the outside of arm and redirecting it away from you while also exposing their body to attacks of your own.
It seems I'm a bit late for the party since Frosty said it all, really. But to go to more details: Locke's arm looks kinda short in the 3rd panel as well. The 6th panel looks great, mainly because its anatomically correct and the 'motion lines' are longer as well. This makes it look faster, because it seems more distance has been covered. My explanation is kinda poor, but I would suggest practice, lots of it. Study artwork you know does it right and mimic the style. (thats how I do it.) You can make it more personal later, ofcourse.

Thanks for pointing that out to me!
I don't think I agree with 'alot easier', because what I was talking about isn't physically hard. I should have elaborated, though. Drop lower than the punch, at the same striking them hard with your forearm against theirs (the 'block'). That sends him off balance, and you can attack him some other way as you come up.
Anyway, Kristy, I'd suggest youtubing and researching different martial arts and see what you think suits the characters best. For Madoc I'd suggest ninjutsu, since its aim is to maim and kill, and therefor is not a competitive sport (you'd only be able to compete once).
As a martial artist, I can tell you that blocking in and blocking out really doesn't matter--they both have the same effect--stop the attack, and leave the opponent vulnerable to counterattack. They just do so in different ways.
Blocking from in and heading out-->Going for the body, on the front.
Blocking from out and heading in-->going for the side and/or back.
