Oh, hello. o_o

11th Sep 2011, 11:59 PM

"Um, do you come here often? ;I"

12th Sep 2011, 12:08 AM

"erm...is this how you greet everyone? Or...uh...hm."

Hahaha imagine if that was Madoc.

Hot damn Kristy you're good at eyes.

12th Sep 2011, 12:40 AM

Panel 6: Me Gusta

12th Sep 2011, 1:02 AM

What a strange lady

She kind of reminds me of you, Kristy

Is that intentional?
Are you watching, Kristy?
Are you waiting for your opportunity to strike?
Or do you just live vicariously through your characters?

Tell me, Kristy. Tell me your secrets.

12th Sep 2011, 1:12 AM

I was thinking the same thing, Matt...

"Hey, that looks an awful lot like Kristy..." Maybe she's making an easy cosplay character for herself, because she doesn't want to go as Rebecca (Barmaid Extraordinaire!) :P

12th Sep 2011, 1:34 AM

What woman wouldn't want to go as Rebecca, though?
She is like, SUPER ACTION BARWOMAN. In fact, this comic should be entirely about Rebecca. Rebecca, the barwoman, goes on an epic quest to avenge her brother and save Locke. But we don't follow Locke at all, we just see them meet up at the end and then we can all ship them and be merry.

Another way that this could be achieved is to simply replace all the characters with Rebecca-type people. Madoc could just be a Rebecca-look-alike in a hood that slaps people to death, and Locke could be Rebecca in fancy-pants clothes with magical arms or whatever. The doctor woman could also be Rebecca ("Whiskey will solve your arm problem!"), although then it'd be a bit awkward when Doctor Rebecca asks Rebecca Locke to remove her clothes. And that'd lead to confusion about whose clothes she is removing - Locke Rebecca, or Doctor Rebecca?
Gosh, that'd be awkward.

Also how would Oralee work? That WOULD be awkward.

12th Sep 2011, 1:39 AM

Obviously Oralee would just be kid Rebecca first learning how to bartend.

Also I have to agree with Magravan and MatthewJA especially in the last panel.

12th Sep 2011, 1:50 AM

Kristy went ghetto.

12th Sep 2011, 4:19 AM

Is .... is that you, Kristy? :D

EDIT *reads everyone else's comments* hmm seems I'mnot alone :P

12th Sep 2011, 6:25 AM

"Oh, God, I think you gave me a concussion, you crazy-- WELL, HELLO."

12th Sep 2011, 8:12 AM

I love her design. Especially the blue paint/tattoos. <3

12th Sep 2011, 8:19 AM

Wait, what? You mean Kristy ISN'T some sort of forest dwelling nature warrior-dryad?

...I guess that would explain the internet access though...

12th Sep 2011, 8:46 AM

So... we've reached a general consensus that Kristy lives in the forest and saves passer-by from death by ambushing them?

12th Sep 2011, 8:57 AM

Consensus reached, then.

12th Sep 2011, 10:25 AM

I wonder if Madoc has any special tactics for dealing with people who use magic. Like a special weapon or maybe some magic of his own?

12th Sep 2011, 11:01 AM

@Fubar: Locke using pick-up lines would be the best thing ever. XD

@Shaggers: I... I must draw this.

@Sprite: Thanks!

@MatthewJA & Magravan & Skrael & uh, almost everyone, it seems:
I'll admit that there's a piece of me in each of my characters, from first to last. It can't be helped, I guess, since it's easy to make characters that relate to you. I also have trouble drawing females; they look the same. A lot of amateur artists (like me) have the tendency to draw similar facial structures as themselves, and it's something that I continue to struggle against. This character isn't intentionally supposed to look like me, though her long brown hair is reminiscent of how my hair used to be and how I'm mostly seen pictured by people on Comic Fury.

So no, Miss Druid Forest Lady was not intentionally made to look like me.

However, there is a character that I've created to represent me in cameos, and she's appeared in various stories.
(As she would probably appear in Wake the Sleepers)
Her appearance changes from story to story, but the basic characteristics are the same.

@Zomburai: Totally worth the concussion. ...Maybe.

@Guest #1: Haha, I'm glad you like her! :D She was fun to design~. It's just blue paint, so it'll be neat to change it up once in a while.

@Guest #2: This is described later, but Espians can't use magic. They have other ways to counteract it, though. It's all explained in the next chapter, actually!

12th Sep 2011, 11:33 AM

your reply to Matt's comment just made my laugh XD

anyways. great job :D

12th Sep 2011, 12:11 PM

Oh YEAH!!! I love me some butch bush woman(only she doesn't look butch, kristy. Love how you drew her) that can drag me through the woods to make animal love to me! That's right, you heard me! I wanna be manhandled by a woman! One that's along the lines of Chyna :))

12th Sep 2011, 1:05 PM

Locke is a pretty lucky guy... and he isn't dead either!

12th Sep 2011, 3:43 PM

Well that's... convenient. I would have loved to see Madoc's expression of total confusion in the first panel as Locke spontaneously disappeared. Ah, well. Thanks for the great page!

12th Sep 2011, 6:07 PM

I was just making jokes.

Coming 2012

12th Sep 2011, 6:12 PM

Your new hairstyle is much cooler.

12th Sep 2011, 8:56 PM

@Aapur: Hahaha~ :D Thank you!

@Shaman: ...Your comments are starting to creep me out a little, mister Shaman. But I appreciate the...sentiment? Er... o_o

@Loungegecko: Ha! Yeah, lucky...until Madoc comes and kills them both. D:<

@Grammar Defender: Convenient indeed! I do think the panel would have been better if you could see Madoc's face, but I had trouble making a composition that could show both his expression and Locke being snatched. I intend to go back and fix several panels in this chapter, and this is one of them! Your comments have been giving me some very good input; I appreciate it!

@MatthewJA: Oh, I figured! It's just that there were a chain of comments that had the same thoughts as you, so I wanted to clarify.

Wake the Rebeccas was just so much to take in that my brain kind of glazed at the thought of the entire comic consisting of only Rebecca. I...I don't even...

@Micheal: Thank you~! I like it a lot. :D It's so much more interesting than before.

13th Sep 2011, 1:25 PM

Obviously, the weight of opinion remains on that in fact being Kristy, Kristy's own opinions not withstanding - frankly, would she really tell us if she DID live in the forest and save passers-by from death? NO.
And the internet access is easy - she lives near one of those cell towers out in the middle of nowhere.

13th Sep 2011, 1:34 PM

wow! getting very interesting so far! keep it up!

13th Sep 2011, 3:34 PM

Why are Indian people coming out of nowhere!? lol. Cant wait to see the rest! :)

14th Sep 2011, 3:41 PM

I like this! Faved to see where you take it :)

14th Sep 2011, 4:33 PM

Locke has a girlfriend already. :D

14th Sep 2011, 10:00 PM

@TheDeepDark: But..but...

I wouldn't have connection to electricity. D:

@Amago: Haha, I guess it wasn't Oralee's evil twin after all. Glad you're enjoying it! :D

@Alston123: Just the one! And to save Locke, apparently! :O I hope you enjoy the rest as it comes!

@Tantz Aerine: Thanks so much! I appreciate it. :)

@Bandkanon: Locke and Forest-Girl, sitting in a tree shrubbery~ ♪

16th Sep 2011, 7:41 AM

Kristy- Really? ...i thought every man wanted that. Now i'm creeping my own self out!

20th Sep 2011, 2:13 PM

I would love to take his place in panel 6. :D

2nd Feb 2012, 11:57 AM

Well THIS isn't awkward at all. XD

I LOVE the detail on the forest here.

14th Feb 2012, 1:07 PM

By the way, I've been delaying my supper (despite being quite hungry) specifically so I could catch up on your comic.

You're just. that. dang. good. ;)

8th Aug 2012, 9:55 PM

She looks a lot like heli-girl from avatar(i forget her name)
